KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2022

The Cloud Native Computing Foundation's flagship conference - KubeCon+CloudNativeCon ended with a big bang as usual. With lots of sponsors by big names like Microsoft, AWS and not yet well-known names like Cloudoor, it was destined to be a blast.

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon provides an important meeting point for DevOps enthusiasts all over the world for exchanging relevant information and insights on Kubernetes and broader DevOps, with about 7.1 million cloud developers worldwide, it is a important and well-received conference and of course, not everyone could make it. As one of the start-up sponsors, we did and we’re here to tell you how it went for us.

How it all went down.

It was Cloudoor’s first KubeCon + CloudNativeCon and we particularly enjoyed it:

A 5 day event from Monday 24th October to Friday 28th October, 2022.

The Event was perfectly organised with quality exchanges with participants and a diverse variety of proposed conferences.

Monday and Tuesday hosted the public live sessions by well-known companies like Canonical Ubuntu and OpenShift Commons Gathering, to name a few. Some of them were recorded and can still be accessed till Oct 25, 2023.

And some other sessions that required extra registration fees like:

  • AWS Container Days,

  • Azure Day with Kubernetes hosted by Azure etc.

It was a lovely opportunity to break the ice, start meeting new people and exchange insights.

Wednesday to Friday was filled with more talks and more importantly, exhibitors booths were open to . In addition to the cute variety of swags, It was a good opportunity to talk with other enthusiasts from the Cloud Native industry in the sponsor pavilions.

It was enriching to talk with people at our booth as they were interested in learning more continuous deployment, sharing insights with other companies, making connections and offered demos.

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon had some cute surprises:

  • The Ribbons Wall that allows you to display a technology you love, or a company looking to recruit.

  • The Wall of Job Offers — with all the job offers made by exhibitors.

  • The Sticker Wall with a multitude of stickers for everyone to choose their favourites and customise their badges and computers.

  • The evening party at a vineyard on the outskirts of Valencia. It was a lovely evening and a great networking opportunity.

Conclusion

It was wonderful meeting new people and introducing Cloudoor to a broader audience. We can't wait to do it all over again, see you all next year!!
